Custom Door Panels

So I'm in the process of customizing my door panels because the originals didn't make it. Any suggestions on style,material,process? Anyone have pictures of there custom door panels?

No pictures, but I always wondered about doing wood accents in the interior, like the older English 7 Italian sports cars. Like stained burl apple or maple veneer. I think that could be made to look nice on the 83 & earlier dash, but maybe not so well with the later years. Maybe if it was just the doors and center console.

You could probably make anything look like it blends well so long as you also do the center console.

Yeah I thought about keeping it vintage and really like that idea, plus i'm a huge fan of detail and that wood would really be an eye catcher.

I'd be really interested in watching whatever you choose to do unfold with pictures as you make progress. (Especially the wood. hint...hint)

So Sterling I ended up taking on the new custom door panels this last weekend. I'm in class right now so I will post a write up with pics. And sorry the wife didn't like the wood accent on the door....I tried.

Has anyone here seen door pannels done with the carbon fibre look alike material. I was thinking charcoal pannels with the carbon fibre inset pannel.
