Bought a 3 piece wing
« on: December 09, 2009, 12:35:21 AM »

Well, that title kind of says it all, but here's some more.

In anticipation of paint and body work in spring 2011, I bought a 3-piece ducktail spoiler (yes, the exact same thing Kentetsu has on his car. Also YES, I am in fact, copying him). This one is a little beat up, but I'm pretty sure my body guy ( <-- sounds sexy, doesn't it?) can handle fixing it. Mine will be painted body color and will be a great place to display my loyalties.

Looks like I'm going to have to have some decals made up!

lol, "imitation is the highest form of flattery"  Smiley

The spoiler that I really want is the true "duck tail" spoiler.  Remember the one on Billy's blue/white car?
Looks just like the one I've got, only a hell of a lot bigger.  Drool....

I think that's the IMSA or GTU style spoiler. Those look great, though I've heard (rumors are great for spreading BS) that if it protrudes past the edge of the bumper it's not street legal. Something to do hitting people and seriously maiming them I think. Don't quote me on that, check your local laws.

They have a class for everything Dennis, they have a class for everything....
At the last event, our top driver was once again using his wife's minivan.
This time he put the Hoosiers on it.  Mind boggling.  He took me for a couple of rides
and it was just nuts.  I just KNEW that we were going to roll over, but he kicked
that thing's ass around that course with times that were in the top 1/3 if I'm not mistaken.
He even beat Evan (guy with a TII that Chris will know) who was driving an '80s Honda car.  Smiley

Oh, that's too funny!
You've inspired me to search for some videos!
When I got my 92 Lincoln Town Car last year, I Googled the hell out of it because I'm not familiar with big cars. I came across a video of someone drifting one on a dirt track! Funny as hell to watch.

Evans no slouch either, so it takes some mad skill to beat him out with a big, heavy, awkward minivan.

Great spoiler as I have one myself (have not mounted it yet) but I too have to agree with Kentetsu  and say the one Billy use to have on the ReSpeed wide body was sex!
